The
West Bloomfield Fire Department protects an area of 36 square miles with
six fire stations, staffed with full-time firefighters.
With capable management, experienced manpower and modern equipment, the
department maintains constant vigilance to protect lives and property from
fires and other emergencies.
Our present force consists of the Fire Chief, 1 Fire Marshal, 1 Deputy Fire Marshal,
6 Captains, 13 Lieutenants, 10 Sergeants, 63 firefighters, 1 inspector, 1 executive assistant, and 2 clerks. We have five emergency medical
service (EMS) units. On instructions from an emergency room doctor,
the paramedics bring the emergency room of the hospital out into the
field and provide initial care and stabilization of the person who
is experiencing a difficulty.
