The
The West Bloomfield Fire Department provides services to the citizens of West Bloomfield, Keego Harbor, Orchard Lake Village and Sylvan Lake. The department is staffed with full-time firefighter / paramedics who provide services from six fire stations which are strategically located throughout its 36 square mile protection district to provide the best possible service in a timely fashion.
With an ISO protection classification of 4 through out West Bloomfield, and 3 in the communities of Keego Harbor, Orchard Lake Village and Sylvan Lake, the department maintains constant vigilance to protect lives and property from fires and other emergencies throughout its service area.
Our present workforce consists of the Fire Chief, 1 Fire Marshal, 5 Captains, 13 Lieutenants, 10 Sergeants, 57 firefighters, 2 fire inspector, 1 executive assistant and 2 clerks.
The West Bloomfield Fire Department provides many services to our community. The following is a basic list of primary services: fire suppression, emergency medical services, technical rescue, hazardous materials mitigation, surface marine and ice rescue, fire prevention, prevention education, CPR programs.
